Against the background of the current dramatic scenes of the war in Ukraine, Platform Dresden eV together with the Ukrainian Greek Catholic personal parish of St. Mykhailo in Dresden (www.ukrainischekirche.de) launched the initiative "Ukrainian Coordination Center in Dresden". The aim of this initiative is to organize and coordinate an extremely high level of willingness to help in Dresden and its environs. Various areas have been identified, such as humanitarian aid for civil defense of Ukraine and refugees, medicines and medical equipment for Ukraine, transportation of refugees and logistics for humanitarian aid, housing, social networks and integration, culture and education.

Родина Горбанів-Витвицьких
Подружжя педагогів з Івано-Франківщини Вікторія та Річард Горбані від 2014 року займаються волонтерською діяльністю: організовують благодійні концерти, підтримують ЗСУ та надають гуманітарну допомогу постраждалим. На парафії, очолюваній отцем Річардом, активно функціонує соціальна пекарня, ведеться збір коштів на дрони, амуніцію та медикаменти для військових, а також опіка над пораненими бійцями.
Молодше покоління родини – подружжя Степана та Евеліни Витвицьких – продовжує волонтерську місію в Канаді. Вони співпрацюють із канадською організацією «Save Ukrainian Soldier», організовують культурні заходи для збору коштів на тактичну медицину для українських захисників. Евеліна створила хор, а також керує Українським фестивалем у Нанаймо. Священному подружжю допомагає молодший син Вікторії і Річарда – Себастьян Горбань,а саме в адаптації українських дітей-біженців.

У часи війни кожен робить свій внесок у спільну перемогу. Віталій Ганженко, директор ТОВ «Слобода Ко», не залишився осторонь — підприємство регулярно надає Збройним Силам України питну воду.
ТОВ «Слобода Ко», яке спеціалізується на виробництві та розповсюдженні бутильованої води, долучається до волонтерських ініціатив, допомагаючи підрозділам, які цього потребують. Віталій Ганженко переконаний: «Підтримка армії — наш обов’язок. Ми не маємо права стояти осторонь, коли хлопці на передовій ризикують життям заради нашої безпеки».

Засновниця та голова організації «Калина» у Фінляндії Гальченко Олена Олександрівна — актив на громадська діячка, яка вже тривалий час проживає у Фінляндії. Її життєва позиція, глибока любов до України та щире бажання допомагати стали поштовхом до створення платформи, що об’єднала українців і фінів заради підтримки постраждалих від війни.
Організація «Калина» у Фінляндії — це яскравий приклад того, як ініціатива однієї людини може стати джерелом великої спільної справи. Історія «фінської Калини» почалась, як і в багатьох подібних ініціатив по всьому світу, — з потреби діяти. З перших днів повномасштаб ного вторгнення росії в Україну розпочалась невпинна робота. Уже 26 лютого 2022 року ввечері були знайдені приміщення, де почався збір гуманітарної допомоги. Фіни приносили все, чим могли поділитися — пам’ятаючи свою власну історію боротьби за свободу в Зимовій війні проти радянського союзу.
