Kalyna - Finland Ukraina
Against the background of the current dramatic scenes of the war in Ukraine, Platform Dresden eV together with the Ukrainian Greek Catholic personal parish of St. Mykhailo in Dresden (www.ukrainischekirche.de) launched the initiative "Ukrainian Coordination Center in Dresden". The aim of this initiative is to organize and coordinate an extremely high level of willingness to help in Dresden and its environs. Various areas have been identified, such as humanitarian aid for civil defense of Ukraine and refugees, medicines and medical equipment for Ukraine, transportation of refugees and logistics for humanitarian aid, housing, social networks and integration, culture and education.

The Kalyna organization in Finland is a striking example of how one person's initiative can become the source of a great common cause. The story of “Finnish Kalyna” began, as with many similar initiatives around the world, with the need to act. From the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, relentless work began. By the evening of February 26, 2022, premises had been found where the collection of humanitarian aid began. The Finns brought everything they could share, remembering their own history of fighting for freedom in the Winter War against the Soviet Union.

Anastasiia Kupriianova
Director of National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. М. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute» of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, and Candidate of Legal Sciences. A modern Ukrainian woman who harmoniously blends the deep intellect of a researcher, the strategic mindset of a leader, and the boundless kindness of a woman who cannot turn a blind eye to someone else’s misfortune. Her intellect and compassion become her most powerful weapons. Anastasiia Oleksandrivna’s volunteer work is not a formality, but the dictates of heart, where there are no “small deeds”. She is a voice and support for thousands of Kharkiv residents and for the de-occupied territories of Ukraine, able to hear everyone, find resources where there seem to be none, and inspire those around her by her own example. Her patriotism, significant personal contributions to the development of the volunteer movement, and support for the population in wartime have been recognized with numerous military awards. Anastasiia Kupriianova stands alongside defenders in the darkest times, providing consistent, daily assistance and supporting the soldiers who are liberating their homeland from the occupiers.
Daryna Kupriianova is a distinguished Ukrainian and Polish lawyer, corporate law expert, social activist, and researcher. In 2025, she was honored with the "Scientist of the Year" award for her significant academic contributions to migration studies and the psycho-emotional resilience of displaced populations.

• Founder & Head of DAR FOR PEACE AND EQUALITY: Leads a Milan-based international NGO dedicated to the social inclusion, legal protection, and integration of Ukrainian refugees in the EU.

Saint Nicholas Cathedral — Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the city Fastova. The temple is located in the center of Fastov on Sobornii Street.
2000 Patriarch Filaret of Kyiv and All Russia-Ukraine, visiting Fastiv, pointed out the place of construction of the future cathedral. In 2001, Father Mykolay arrived in Fastov from the Lviv region and served in the local church until 2005. In March 2001 at Easter he held the first service, which was attended by approximately 10 parishioners.
On May 22, 2001, the construction site was consecrated.
In 2008, foundations for construction were laid by the organization "Kyivfundamentbud" The construction of the cathedral began in November 2012.
The purpose of the creation of the temple was the restoration of the Resurrection Cathedral, lost in Soviet times.

Since 2014, the co-founders of the online auto parts store "Ukrparts" Oleksiy Levytskyi and Orel Artem have been actively helping the country in its confrontation with the aggressor. With the start of hostilities, they, together with those who care, provide our soldiers with the most necessary. In 8 years, we have managed to buy, repair and paint more than 15 cars.
The vehicles of our defenders are constantly maintained and repaired by the forces of our own service station.

At the request of the frontline, Oleksiy and Artem purchased the Starlink satellite internet platform, which is already successfully used on the front line.
With the beginning of active hostilities in the territory of Kyiv region, they extended their assistance to the civilian population, namely: providing people most affected by the occupation with drinking water, food, medicines, hygiene products and household items.
Necessary items are purchased at the individual request of families with children and the elderly.
They do not leave the families of our defenders without attention and help, providing financial and humanitarian assistance. Contribute to the improvement of logistics chains between volunteers and the military, involving the company fleet and employees in volunteer activities.

Currently, the women of Rivne region are directing all their efforts, wisdom, prudence, and concern for the fate of the soldiers who are defending us all from the aggressor. They are organizing fundraising events to purchase technical equipment, weaving camouflage nets, making trench candles, preparing homemade meals, and treats for warm, friendly meetings in city hospitals where soldiers are recovering. They also help medical staff who transport the wounded on a weekly basis.

Vice President Shield of Freedom, a charitable organization based in San Diego, California. The organization helps fighters and rescuers on the front lines in Ukraine. She has been volunteering since 2014 and is currently the co-founder and vice president of the Freedom Shield. She was born in Kharkiv, but has lived in the United States for more than half her life. Currently in the process of obtaining a doctorate in International Relations and Comparative Political Science.
Nadiya Gavina
Born in Rivne region, she graduated from Rivne Institute of Slavic Studies. She lives in Sweden and works at Munters headquarters in Sweden.
She actively supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine by collecting and delivering clothing, medicines, and necessary equipment for the military. Her volunteer work is an important contribution to strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities and supporting our defenders.
